Launching into the great “YES” of God!

Updated: Feb 5, 2021

As we embark upon some of the most exciting time that the body of Christ has ever known, there are certain things you and I want to prepare in our hearts to do. Prepare to answer YES to God.

You may say, “Deane, I already say yes to God. What else do you want from me?” That’s a good question, I find that many people don’t really say YES to God, they say “yeah”. Sometimes in our obedience we say “yeah” to God as if we’re doing Him a favor. So this YES is completely different. This is a heart felt YES to everything God wants to do not only in you and I, but also with you and I.

We are to always be a people of prayer. But as we see in the scriptures even Jesus had times where He was drawn away to pray for a season of time.

We now are in that season of being pulled away into prayer. Not just prayer for ourselves but prayer for others, prayer for the lost. This kind of prayer is called intercessory prayer. This kind of prayer is some of the most selfless prayer, we are now praying for others and seeking the face of God for the person or situation that’s going on.

This kind of prayer is something that requires us to be selfless, to persevere through difficult times and situations for the sake of the person or situation we’re praying for. In this prayer we lean in on the scripture of Mark 11:24.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

So once we pray, we have to believe we receive. We have to stand in prayer for the situation or person or people we‘re praying for. We lean in on the Spirit of God for strategies on the situation. We call those things that are not as though they are.

Romans 4:17

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations” ) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

We do all of this specifically for the

harvest. Matthew 9:38

Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

We must pray that the Lord would send us, “the laborers” into the harvest. That the anointing of God would be upon us to talk to the people with the words of eternal life. I once had the opportunity to hear the great evangelist, the late Reinhard Bonke say, “God has given the church two legs to walk on. So in the same way He has given the church two legs. They’re called, pray and go!! Pray hard! That is where your spiritual battle is won at! Then go and don’t make it mystical! Talk to people about the need of Jesus in their lives!! This is the most practical and powerful statement I’ve heard to date. Prayer is so important to win the battles of the persons heart to be tender before the Lord. We stand on the scripture Proverbs 21:1.

Proverbs 21:1

The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.

But then we go! We go and begin to talk to the person, not shoving Jesus down their throat but out of a sincere love and concern we talk to them about the need for Jesus in their lives.

People might say well that’s for the ministers to do. That’s not true. As a minister, I’ve evangelized to hundreds of thousands of people. But with that said, I can’t do it all. Reinhard Bonke evangelized to millions of people, but he didn’t win the world! Why? Because it takes all of us! The truth is I will not reach the people you know. You will! People will say it’s not my personality to evangelize, so my question to you is would you rescue a person from a burning building if you could? Would you save a person from walking into a pit? Yes you would!

So we can’t let the excuses allow us to become complacent in our walk. We must say YES! Yes God I’ll go!! YES God send me!! I want to see salvation brought to this land! I take responsibility for my part in doing this! Remember folks, if we do our part, God will always do His part!! Light shines greatest in extreme darkness! We’re in the times of extreme darkness, but we are the light!! Light shines best in darkness!

Say YES! Say yes to the lost! Say YES to the prayer! Say YES to the call of God!

As we step into this fast, let’s fast of the strategy for the lost around us. Let’s press in for the salvation of the ones around us!

Let’s begin to talk to the ones who need salvation. Don’t complicate it. Just tell people about what Jesus has done for you!
