THE BLESSINGS THAT AWAIT
Being a child of God is one of the greatest blessings that can ever be bestowed upon a human being! Being able to receive that blessing is another thing in and of itself. Many people cannot receive the blessings of the Father because they disqualify themselves and heap condemnation on top of themselves by not truly allowing the blood of Jesus to cover them. We see through the scriptures that the way was made for us.
Ephesians 1:3-7 New King James Version (NKJV) Redemption in Christ 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He [a]made us accepted in the Beloved. 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
As a child of God you have been blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly blessings in Christ. So you have a tremendous blessing awaiting you! Having been in ministry in one form or another for 22 years now, I find it more and more eminent that we,as disciples, of Christ walk in the blessings! Folks, the world needs you! It doesn’t need a mega minister, it needs you! Yes, you!
So, how do I access these blessings?
First, by the blood! Whether failure, sin, sickness, disease, breakthrough, whatever it is, the answer is found in the power of the blood! You and I need to appropriate the blood in our lives so we can walk in the spiritual blessings God has for you and I! Second, be in the word! The word of God is our utmost authority! What it says we can have, we can have! We must be a people who understand the word of God and understand what we can have as sons and daughters. We see that Hebrews says the the word is alive.
HEBREWS 4:12-13(NKJV) 12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
So the word divides soul and spirit! The word tells us when we’re walking in pride or in condemnation. When we’re walking in doubt or fear or unforgiveness. It points us and instructs us in righteousness, which is the very nature of our Heavenly Father. So, by renewing our minds to the word of God (Romans 12:2) we step into the very nature of our Father! Folks, that’s exciting!! The world needs that!!
Finally, we must be a people of prayer. Prayer is our communication with our Heavenly Father. It comes by way of the blood that Jesus shed. We come through the name of Jesus! You see it’s in this time of fellowship and deep communion that we are able to make our petitions known to God.
Philippians 4:6-7 New King James Version (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
By coming to God with our prayers and petitions, we acknowledge that He is as good as He says He is.
Hebrews 11:6 New King James Version (NKJV) 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
By us coming to God in prayer and bringing our needs, concerns and trials to God, He is pleased with us because we acknowledge that He is and that He’s a good God! So develop some time to pray and seek the Lord every day. The Father has so much for you. These are keys, basic keys, but foundational keys for you and I to walk in the spiritual blessings that the Father has for you and I! I pray you press in and obtain these blessings by faith in the blood of Jesus. They are for us as children of God! God bless!
